This machine I believe went into service with Sheffield Transport around 1970/71. It had been modified for decimal currency by restricting the movement of the levers, so that the top selector lever can only go up to 9pence, and the shilling lever can no longer select the halfpenny. These blocking pegs have now been removed so the machine can access the full range of prices.
I was interested to note that the date number inside will only go between 70 an 99. Further proof of it's age.
Sometime in its life, the ticket class knob has has a knock and is slightly bent. It doesn't stop it working. If I get time I may extract the shaft and and try straightening it.
When I bought it, it came with the strap and rubber pad. Also it had a bracket on the back which I assume is used when mounting the machine in a stand.
